Overview

Kimley-Horn's Richmond, Virginia (VA) office is seeking a Civil Engineer with 3+ years of experience to join their Transit team! This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities
  • The selected candidate will contribute to the production and delivery of transit design projects with a particular focus on, but not limited to Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) and Light Rail Transit (LRT) projects.
  • Various tasks may include corridor concept development, assistance in public outreach, and transit evaluation.
  • This role will require a high degree of multi-disciplinary coordination.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills are critical.
Qualifications

  • 3+ years of transit-focused engineering experience including:
    • Transit corridor design experience
    • Track/guideway design
    • Roadway design
    • Station design
    • Drainage design
  • Outgoing, self-motivated team player

  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills and detail-orientation
