Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant roadway design experience
• Professional Engineering (P.E.) License (or ability to obtain within 12 months)
• Experience with local agencies or municipalities preferred
• Proficiency in design software: Microstation, Open Roads, AutoCAD, Civil 3D
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and roadway design standards
• Ability to analyze engineering problems effectively
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the design team for roadway designs compliant with regulations
• Manage design and delivery of projects profitably and resolve design issues
• Assist in project plans, feasibility studies, and cost estimates
• Select materials and prepare specifications for road projects
• Create alignment and geometric designs considering safety and accessibility
• Obtain permits and approvals for projects from authorities
• Provide construction support, overseeing plans and project progress
• Conduct inspections to ensure adherence to design standards
• Integrate environmental considerations into roadway designs
• Monitor project progress, budgets, and schedules
