About the role, Your Impact

Baxter & Woodman has a rewarding opportunity for a Civil Engineer I. This position will primarily consist of engineering studies and design efforts on a variety of water resources, water/wastewater, transportation, drainage and general civil engineering projects for State, County, and Local Agencies. We are seeking qualified applicants for an entry-level position in our Orlando, FL office.

What your day-to-day will look like, what you will learn on the job
  • Detailed design of drainage systems, hydraulic studies, potable water/wastewater pipelines, pumping stations, and roadways.
  • Studies and design of water/wastewater/stormwater system rehabilitation.
  • Hydraulic and hydrologic modeling designs for drainage basins, water quality improvement and stormwater collection systems.
  • Traffic studies.
  • Roadway and utility design including rehabilitation, widening, and reconstruction using Civil 3D or Bentley OpenRoads Designer.
  • Performing analyses using Geographic Information System (GIS) tools.
  • Preparing stormwater, roadway, water and wastewater master planning reports.
  • Review and planning of water, stormwater, roadway and wastewater infrastructure improvements, and understanding of sustainable design elements as they relate to water and energy conservation and efficiency.
  • Complete general civil engineering services for municipal, county and state clients.

Education Requirement
  • 4-year B.S. degree in Civil Engineering.

Compensation The pay range for this role is $76,000-$90,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, and certifications.
