Position Summary The Civil Engineer/Environmental Subject Expert will lead the civil and environmental components of construction documents for underground and aboveground storage tank removal and replacement at three facilities.
- Lead the civil and environmental components of construction documents for underground and aboveground storage tank removal and replacement at three facilities.
- Review and document existing site conditions relevant to the proposed work.
- Coordinate utility, grading, drainage, and site access requirements.
- Identify and evaluate environmental constraints associated with storage tank removal and replacement.
- Develop applicable civil and environmental plans, details, specifications, and technical recommendations.
- Coordinate with the Project Manager and other design disciplines to integrate civil and environmental requirements into a complete construction document package.
- Support the resolution of civil, environmental, and site-related design interfaces.
- Incorporate site conditions, constructability, access, and operational considerations into design solutions.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- 7-10 years of progressive civil/environmental engineering experience
Salary Range: $110,000 - $150,000 Physical Requirements The incumbent in this position can typically expect to sit and use his/her hands to handle and feel for more than 1/3 of the day. He/she can expect to stand or walk for more than 2/3 of the day. Talking and listening are also expected for more than 2/3 of the day. The ability to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, or reach with arms will be needed for less than 2/3 of the day.
This position requires that the incumbent be able to lift items up to 70 pounds on an infrequent basis.
The incumbent in this position should have clear vision at 20 inches or less. He/she should be able to view various reports and forms as well as information displayed on a computer monitor and have the ability to distinguish between different colors. Depth perception, peripheral vision, the ability to focus, and the ability to see from a distance are also necessary.
