The maritime industry is expanding and improving port and harbor infrastructure. Our Ports and Marine Terminals team is growing to meet our clients' needs. Become part of a team of motivated planners and engineers who are excited to work on a diverse range of projects in waterfront infrastructure.

Stantec manages complex, large-scale commercial and infrastructure projects from conceptual planning, through design, and construction. Play a key role in developing new client relationships and engaging with existing Stantec clients. Our Ports and Marine Terminals group provides our clients with comprehensive planning, design, and engineering services for all phases of port, marine terminal, and shipyard projects. Your Key Responsibilities
  • Perform design, calculations and analysis related to design of roadways, utilities, site grading, and/or marine structures for marine terminal projects.
  • Assist the Project Manager in the preparation of reports and the development of project design elements including plans, specifications, estimates, and related reports.
  • Identify and analyze the principal design features and major design alternatives that satisfy the project's purpose and the client's needs. Produce detailed, high-quality final design plans, specifications, and estimates in accordance with applicable procedures and standards.
  • Peer review plans and provide quality control reviews of technical specifications, contract documents, quantity calculations, and estimates.
  • Mentor junior staff in technical design elements, Autodesk Civil 3D, and the development of project documents.
  • Recent experience with maritime related codes (ASCE, COPRI, PIANC, etc.) and Department of Defense (UFC, UFGC) criteria are highly desirable.
  • Review data and develop reports for capital planning and program management.

Your Capabilities and Credentials
  • Proficient in design of site grading, roads, utilities, including alignments, profiles, typical sections, plan preparation and cost estimating.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is required.
  • MS Office program experience, especially Word and Excel.

    Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's or higher Degree in Engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience in the field of Civil Engineering.
  • California PE license desirable but not required

Typical office environment working with computers at a desk for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.

• Locations in CO, HI, IL, MD & Various CA, NJ Areas-$85,000.00 - $123,300.00 Annually
• Locations in WA, DC & Various CA, MA areas-$91,200.00 - $132,300.00 Annually
