Job DescriptionOlsson is seeking a Civil Construction Manager/Inspector to join our team, working on diverse construction projects throughout the Omaha metropolitan area. As a Construction Manager/Inspector, you would be responsible for complex construction projects, managing and overseeing the quality of construction at the project site. In this role you will act as a quality assurance manager representing the owner with regards to all construction activities. Duties include tracking that special inspections and materials testing is being completed, overseeing RFIs and submittals, attendance at project meetings and provide verification overall that the quality documentation of the project is being completed per the owners' requirements.
Primary duties and responsibilities: - Oversee and manage the quality assurance program at the project site.
- Reads and interprets plans and specifications at various stages of a project.
- Initiates actions needed to keep construction progress on schedule.
- Solves on-site problems and situations regarding construction of the project and design modifications.
- Works in all types of terrain and weather conditions on project sites in various stages of construction.
- Identifies and avoids potential hazards for workers and the public in and around project sites.

- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and codes.
- Valid driver's license and a good driving history.
- Schedule flexibility.
- 3-5 years' experience performing construction materials testing, observation, or construction administration.
- American Concrete Institute (ACI) Field Grade 1, Nuclear Gauge Safety Training, and OSHA10 or OSHA30 preferred but not required.
- Associate or bachelor's degree in a construction related field preferred but not required.
