Full Job Description
The primary responsibility of the Associate is, in cooperation with the Relationship Managers/Bankers, to service the banking & financing needs of internationally oriented Mid-Market clients, to deepen existing client relationships and to acquire & onboard new commercial banking clients.

Responsibilities:
  • Build relationships with Citi network and operational teams, become one of the key contacts for clients' requests, internal requests/escalation and resolution.
  • Support the Bankers in coverage and management of their assigned portfolio of clients.
  • Work closely with Senior Relationship Managers to ensure we provide a 'Client First' approach and help deliver outstanding day-to-day banking & operational support to our Mid-Market clients.
  • In cooperation with Senior Relationship Manager, call on clients and maximize 'One Citi' client experience, by proactively leveraging and sharing Citi's market leading insights, global network and solutions.
  • Monitor and oversee product implementation processes, credit on-boarding process and manage sales CRM platform.
  • Liaise with Relationship Associate(s) to ensure adherence to global KYC (Know Your Customer) standards during the onboarding process and, on an ongoing basis, ensure the appropriate compliance deliverables are met.
  • Develop and maintain strong ties with Commercial Banking teams across the globe, in particular CCB colleagues working across the same sector vertical, CCB colleagues supporting subsidiary businesses overseas (Commercial Subsidiaries Group). Collaborate and work closely with various product teams (cash sales, trade finance, markets, corporate finance), Underwriting and Risk teams.
  • Work with Senior Relationship Managers to analyze client relationships, risks & opportunities, assist with credit application write-up, financial spreading, deal structuring, returns calculation, documentation review & preparation. Co-manage the credit relationship with clients, ensuring proper adherence of policies and institutional processes.
  • Understand key commercial banking products, processes & solutions, including Transaction Banking, FX, Trade, Liquidity & Treasury, Working Capital and Lending products.
  • Support Senior Relationship Managers on solutioning assessment, preparation of pitch books and meeting materials, assisting with new clients' acquisition.
  • Work collaboratively with key internal stakeholders across CCB, share best practices across teams in order to deliver 'best in class' relationship management to new and existing clients.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrate consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguard Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment around personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.


Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of relevant experience, preferably in a Client Relationship, or client-facing role
  • Prior experience within Commercial/Corporate banking is desirable.
  • Fluency in both French and English, with the ability to communicate confidently with clients and colleagues in both languages.
  • Strong sales, presentation and communication skills with a client-focus mindset

  • Knowledge of general banking processes, general understanding of commercial banking solutions

  • English-language (written and oral) fluency required: The Associate will regularly collaborate with stakeholders across Citibank's global network, including credit, underwriting, and product teams in the U.S. and Ontario. This ensures seamless communication and alignment with key business partners, enabling the Associate to effectively perform their duties within a complex, cross-border banking environment.

  • Bachelor's/University degree is required.

  • Surveiller et superviser les processus de mise en œuvre des produits et le processus d'intégration en matière de crédit, et gérer la plateforme de gestion des relations-clients utilisée par l'équipe des ventes.
  • Communiquer avec les chargés de relations pour assurer le respect des normes mondiales relatives à la connaissance de la clientèle (KYC) pendant le processus d'intégration et veiller en permanence à ce que les exigences de conformité appropriés soient satisfaites.
  • Développer et maintenir des liens étroits avec les équipes des services bancaires commerciaux partout dans le monde, surtout les collègues de CCB qui travaillent dans le même secteur vertical et ceux qui soutiennent les filiales à l'étranger (Groupe des filiales commerciales). Travailler en étroite collaboration avec diverses équipes de produits (ventes au comptant, financement commercial, marchés et financement des entreprises) ainsi qu'avec les équipes de placement et de gestion des risques.
  • Travailler en collaboration avec les directeurs principaux des relations-clients pour analyser les relations avec les clients, les risques et les possibilités, et contribuer à la rédaction des demandes de crédit, à l'analyse financière, à la structuration des opérations, au calcul des rendements ainsi qu'à l'examen et à la préparation de la documentation. Cogérer la relation de crédit avec les clients en veillant à l'application appropriée des politiques et des processus institutionnels.
  • Comprendre les principaux produits bancaires commerciaux ainsi que les principaux processus et solutions connexes, notamment les produits relatifs aux services bancaires transactionnels, aux opérations de change, au commerce, à la liquidité et à la trésorerie, aux fonds de roulement et aux prêts.
  • Soutenir les directeurs principaux des relations-clients dans l'évaluation des solutions, la préparation des argumentaires commerciaux et du matériel de réunion, et la prospection de clients.
  • Travailler en collaboration avec les principales parties prenantes internes de CCB et échanger sur les pratiques exemplaires entre les équipes afin d'offrir une gestion des relations de premier ordre tant aux clients actuels qu'aux nouveaux clients.

Qualifications :
  • Au moins trois ans d'expérience pertinente, de préférence dans un poste axé sur la relation client ou en contact direct avec la clientèle.

  • Maîtrise de l'anglais (oral et écrit): La personne titulaire du poste collaborera régulièrement avec les parties prenantes du réseau mondial de Citibank, notamment les équipes de crédit, de placement et de produits aux États-Unis et en Ontario.
