Job Description:

Circuit Activation Engineer - TS/SCI clearance

This position will support the following schedule:
  • Day Shift (Monday - Friday; 8:00am - 4:00pm)


How the Circuit Activation Engineer will make an impact:
  • Responsible for provisioning & configuring network devices (switches, routers) as part of the MAC (Move, Add, Change) team
  • Create plans and configures systems for data communication networks
  • Work with Cable Engineers & Tier I/II Service Desk Technicians to activate & provide network connectivity to the JSP customer base
  • Support MAC (Move, Add, Change) Layer 1 & 2 activations
  • Use Element Management tools to determine port & network resource availability to meet capacity requirements
  • Maintain network integrity and connectivity while ensuring compliance with policies and maintains system backup and recovery capability
  • Provide network support and troubleshooting for the MAC team
  • Analyze customer requirements and provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems
  • May be required to work odd hours to support priority service activations for VIP's & Emergency Response Activities
  • Other duties as assigned


WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED - REQUIRED:
  • Clearance: Active TS/SCI security clearance
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience
  • Certification(s): DoDD 8570/8140 IAT Level II
  • Year's Experience: 5+ years to include 1-3 years of directly related experience in network engineering and/or administration
  • Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with Network Engineering data and voice communications networks
  • Location: Onsite in Arlington, VA


The likely salary range for this position is $93,662 - $116,150. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
