Position Overview:
The Technology Operations Lead is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations and driving operational excellence within the Construction Technology business. This role partners with the management team to ensure business continuity, support organizational objectives, develop team capabilities, and maintain efficient, customer-focused operations that contribute to the overall success of the branch.

Success in this role is driven by the effective management of product procurement, sales and rental order fulfillment, installation and service activities, SWIP inventory control, and strong cross-functional collaboration with sales and support teams.

The role involves supervising and supporting members of the Operations staff to deliver a consistent customer experience, while contributing to the Branch's overall business and financial goals. This individual leads the day to day work of the operations team and provides guidance to other departments as necessary.

Job Description:

Support, Develop and Supervise Operations Administration
  • Provide direction and prioritization of tasks and scheduling for front line administrative and warehousing staff to ensure efficient, accurate and timely completion of customer work.
  • General supervisory duties including performance management, training, vacation time etc.
  • Partner with Finning service teams to facilitate the successful delivery of installation and service training for Trimble products and ensure resources have the knowledge required to support customers effectively.
  • Supervision of Supplier Goodwill and Warranty claims
  • Develop and maintain effective inter-departmental relationships to ensure a one-team approach to servicing customers
  • Training and Development of Sales coordinators


New Product and Procedural Improvement/Documentation
  • Continuous Improvement - gather feedback from operations/sales/support/NEP teams to continually refine and improve processes
  • New product introductions - collaborate with leadership to understand, scope and deliver frameworks for sales fulfillment within the Operations team of new products and lines of business.
  • Lead development and delivery of required operations workflows and tasks, as required, with the introduction of new product lines, services or customer financing methods.


Reporting & Inventory Planning
  • Manage procurement and supply chain initiatives to ensure inventory strategies support customer and business initiatives.
  • Build vendor relationships and ensure purchasing strategies are appropriate.
  • Responsible for new inventory management
  • Ensure timely closure of purchase orders and sales contracts. Regularly audit (monthly)
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting on various operations activities as required


Education & Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience in Customer service, parts, warranty, repair, or related heavy equipment environments.
  • Strong customer relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude and understanding of equipment repair processes.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
  • Strong project planning and coordination skills.
  • Financial and business acumen, including experience working with billing and warranty processes with in M3
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and customer relationship management systems such as Salesforce.
