Description
As the Therapy Director, you will play a pivotal role in leading and overseeing our team of dedicated therapists. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the therapy department, promoting exceptional patient care, and fostering a positive and productive work environment for your team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Provide clinical leadership and supervision to therapy teams (PT, OT, SLP).
- Develop, implement, and monitor treatment plans to optimize patient outcomes.
- Ensure all therapy teams are adhering to department protocols, documentation standards, and professional ethics.
- Recruit, interview, and hire qualified therapists.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing professional development opportunities for staff.
- Manage departmental budget and resources effectively.
- Maintain open communication with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a collaborative approach to patient care.
- Analyze and track department performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in rehabilitation therapy.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)Licenses or Certifications
- Current, unencumbered license to practice professional Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy or Speech-Language Pathology in the state where currently practicing.
- Current BLS required via the American Heart Association or American Red Cross (required).
Education, Training, and Experience
- Master's degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech-Language Pathology (required).
- 2 years of Inpatient Rehabilitation experience (required).
- Previous supervisory experience within a Therapy Department (required).
- Proven track record of leading and improving clinical quality, patient outcomes, and operational efficiency.
- Strong understanding of current trends and best practices in rehabilitation medicine.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Passion for patient-centered care and a commitment to rehabilitation services.
