The Chief Review Appraiser (CRA) at Truist provides leadership and governance over appraisal and valuation review activities within Collateral Operations. This role will manage the delivery of credible, compliant, and defensible valuation assessments in alignment with Truist risk appetite, regulatory expectations, and investor requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job.  Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below.  Specific activities may change from time to time.
1.    Product owner for all residential appraisal review functions across Retail, Direct, Consumer and Servicing functions 
2.    Lead the Collateral Regulatory Compliance & Audit Readiness and manage collateral issues ,be the primary SME for regulators, internal audit, compliance, and maintain audit defensible documentation, procedures and controls
3.    Lead a team of Residential Collateral Leaders and a procedure specialist to ensure second tier reviews, escalations, and system review rules and configurations are in line with Truist risk appetite, regulatory expectations, and investor requirements.
4.    Provide governance over Appraisal Management Companies and third party valuation providers, define and maintain effective performance metrics review and third party valuation providers. 
5.    Drive operational excellence with efficient and scalable processes in appraisal review and partner with production and fulfillment teams to provide a purposeful and value driven Client experience.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

1.    Certified General Appraiser license (active, in good standing) and/or advanced designations from an Appraisal Management Company (AMC)
2.    10 + years of Residential appraisal and/or appraisal review experience
3.    5+ years of leadership experience within a large financial institution or AMC environment
4.    Deep expertise in USPAP, Interagency Guidelines, GSE collateral requirements, supporting regulatory exams and audit engagement
Preferred Qualifications:
1.    Experience within a top 10 Bank or similarly complex organization
2.    Familiar with Truist systems and workflows (Empower LOS, Cotality CMS, etc)
3.     Certified General Appraiser certification and/or Advanced designations (e.g., SRA, MAI)
