Raytheon is looking for a Chief Product Owner (CPO) for the Ground Based Radar Digitization (GBRD) program. This critical role involves providing strategic technical and programmatic oversight for the GBRD Radar Software, supporting program execution, and driving alignment across multiple software areas including Radar Digital Product Line (RDPL), Upgraded Early Warning Radar (UEWR) and Cobra Dane. The Chief Product Owner will play a key role in delivering high-quality Software and contributing to the growth and success of the GBRD Product.

What You Will Do
  • Serve as the technical leader managing the technical baseline across multiple code bases.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for the product, responsible for defining, prioritizing, and maintaining a product backlog that aligns with program objectives and using it to coordinate work across multiple teams.
  • Ensure on-time, high-quality delivery of team products and services.
  • Prioritize features and user stories based on customer feedback and technical feasibility.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, customers, and development teams, to ensure alignment with product vision.
  • Work with program leadership to create and maintain a product roadmap that outlines the delivery schedule and milestones along with future development paths.
  • Act as the primary interface between internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment of technical execution with programmatic goals.


Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of ten (10) years' prior relevant experience prohibited by local laws/regulations.
  • Experience managing technical baselines and delivering mission-critical systems to customers.
  • Experience with agile management and metrics definition, generation and reporting.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S government issued security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.


Qualifications We Prefer
  • Experience as Chief/Scaled Product Owner or similar role in an agile, SAFe and/or Scrum at Scale environment.
  • Experience on RDPL, XBR, AN/TPY-2, COBRA DANE, QEWR, UEWR, SRP or radar data processing domain knowledge.
  • Experience with leadership and/or design for complex, large scale systems or a related industry certification.
  • Experience with SAFe Product Owner certification or related industry certification.
  • Experience with DoD or similar major programs throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Experience with making data-driven decisions in a fast paced, dynamic environment with time-critical requirements and competing priorities.
  • Experience interfacing with customers and/or internal stakeholders and lead technical solutions with complex user requirements.
  • Experience with communication, technical writing, oral presentation, and interpersonal skills.

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
