Position Summary
We are currently looking for a hard working and dedicated Chief Power Engineer 4 to fill a position at the Dawson Creek and District Hospital.
In accordance with the established mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of Northern Health, and under the general supervision of Manager or designate, this position supervises 4th Class Power Engineers and other designated staff, performs administrative functions and oversees the operation of a power plant or any low-pressure plant in compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
This position is for the NEW Dawson Creek Hospital. Will require to provide after hours on-call services based on a rotation.
Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Monday to Friday, Days - 07:00 to 15:00
Qualfications
• Certificate of competency as 4th Class Power Engineer recognized by the Province of British Columbia. Three (3) years' recent related experience including one year in a supervisory position or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Valid BC Driver's License.

• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to deal with others effectively.
• Ability to supervise.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications.
• Ability to operate related equipment.
• Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
