Zermount is seeking a Chief of Staff to serve as the Company's senior management lead for executive coordination and follow-through. The Chief of Staff will help the CEO and President set priorities, assign responsibility, resolve cross-functional issues, identify risks early, hold leaders accountable, and strengthen the Company's ability to perform and grow.
This is not an administrative Chief of Staff position and does not create a separate executive office. The position reports to the President, supports priorities assigned by the CEO, and works across corporate functions, directorates, programs, and strategic initiatives. The successful candidate must exercise sound judgment, communicate directly, and drive complex work to completion while respecting the authority of accountable leaders and avoiding unnecessary process.
WHAT YOU WILL DO- Turn CEO and President priorities into defined outcomes, responsible owners, deadlines, required decisions, and measurable results.
- Manage the Company's leadership meeting schedule and maintain accurate records of actions, decisions, risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Prepare concise materials for executive decisions and ensure meetings end with clear assignments, deadlines, and follow-through.
- Coordinate execution across HR, Talent Acquisition, Corporate IT, Business Development, Finance, Contracts, Security, Programs, Strategy, and Innovation.
- Strengthen workforce planning, recruiting readiness, onboarding, performance management, succession, employee support, and manager accountability.
- Monitor program and client performance and coordinate corporate support before issues affect delivery.
- Support capture efforts, proposals, recompetes, and transition planning for new awards without carrying an individual sales quota.
- Lead assigned strategic initiatives and correct recurring operating problems through practical process improvements that produce verified results.
- Protect Company and customer interests by reinforcing sound GovCon controls, ethical conduct, confidentiality, and early escalation.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING- Ten or more years of progressively responsible leadership in enterprise operations, program leadership, management consulting, government contracting, executive operations, or a comparable environment.
- Experience advising or directly supporting senior executives and leading cross-functional initiatives through implementation.
- Working knowledge of the federal contracting environment and the interdependence among delivery, contracts, finance, workforce, security, compliance, and growth.
- Strong executive writing, briefing, facilitation, prioritization, and decision-support skills.
- Sound judgment, discretion, credibility, and the ability to challenge incomplete thinking or weak execution professionally.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and directly relevant experience.
