The Chief of Operations (COO) provides day-to-day operational leadership for the New Hampshire Tracking Station, supporting continuous Satellite Control Network (SCN) mission operations. The COO oversees operational personnel, shift execution, mission readiness, training and certification, staffing coordination, and compliance with established technical, safety, security, and customer requirements.
The position serves as a key interface between site leadership, program management, and government mission partners, ensuring reliable 24/7 operations and timely resolution of operational issues. The COO monitors mission performance, coordinates corrective actions, manages operational priorities, and supports workforce planning to maintain safe, effective, and mission-ready station operations.

Develops and implements policies, practices, procedures, and operating goals.
Approves and allocates resources based on business priorities.
Comprehensive knowledge of the field's concepts and principles.
Performs complex tasks typically following established processes.
Leads and directs the work of other employees and has full authority for personnel decisions.
Administers departmental policies and procedures, evaluates results and performance, and assists with the development of new or modified budgets, strategic plans, or policies. Typically requires BA and 5-7 years.
