Position Summary

This position is responsible for the supervision of the clinical pathology section at the Tifton Veterinary Diagnostic and Investigational Laboratory. This responsibility includes oversight of all test procedures, equipment maintenance, and inventory control as well as reading/evaluating hematology tests, performing urinalysis and parasitology, serum chemistry assays, and other clinical tests. The responsibility includes data management of results generated for reporting daily. This is a supervisory position responsible for hiring and training of medical technologists and student workers. The position is responsible for technical assistance and advice to faculty, practitioners, and clients.

  • Medical Technology Certification required.
  • The ability to manage a veterinary clinical pathology laboratory and personnel is required.
