Primary Location: Fort Bragg, North CarolinaClearance: Secret clearanceAbility to work remotely: NoObsidian Solutions Group is seeking a Chief Logistician to oversee supply operations, logistics coordination, and property accountability functions in support of Army mission requirements. The ideal candidate has deep experience with Army supply systems, logistics regulations, and property accountability procedures, including hands-on proficiency with GCSS-Army.
Requirements
Responsibilities- Oversee all logistics and supply operations to ensure compliance with Army supply regulations and DoD property accountability standards.
- Manage and maintain supply records, property books, and inventory documentation in accordance with DoD and Army policies.
- Utilize GCSS-Army to track supplies, manage requisitions, update records, and support day-to-day logistics functions.
- Coordinate the receipt, storage, distribution, and turn-in of supplies and equipment.
- Monitor and enforce accountability of government property, ensuring accurate reporting and timely updates.
- Analyze logistics processes to improve efficiency, identify issues, and implement corrective actions.
- Provide guidance and support to staff on logistics procedures, supply policies, and system requirements.
- Interface with units, supply activities, and leadership to support mission requirements and maintain logistics readiness.
- Prepare logistics reports, briefings, and documentation as required by leadership or regulatory standards.
- Ensure compliance with all DoD and Army regulations governing supply operations, property management, and inventory control.
Requirement:- Security Clearance: Active Secret clearance required
- High school diploma
- In-depth knowledge of Army Supply System
- Minimum two years of experience using Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-A)
- Minimum Background/Experience Required:
- Five years of experience in logistics operations
- Strong working knowledge of Army supply regulations
- Knowledge of DoD Property Book accounting policies, regulations, and procedures
Desired Qualifications:- Certification from the American Society of Transportation and Logistics or the International Society of Logistics
- Familiarity with the Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS)
- Understanding of supply program relationships across technical and general supply support operations
