Position Summary:

The Chief Information Officer (CIO) serves as the senior executive responsible for managing CyncHealth's information technology infrastructure and ensuring the use of healthcare IT software and technologies to streamline business operations with internal and external stakeholder needs.

Responsibilities:
  • Align IT vision with long-term company goals, forecasting needs to ensure CyncHealth balances both operations and innovation.
  • Provide leadership to teams that manage feeds and system integrations. Maintain a deep knowledge of system dependencies and process flows.
  • Direct and provide oversight of platform architecture and product roadmaps.
  • Manage the operations center, ensuring the highest levels of customer service and professionalism. Partner with communications team to ensure voice of the customer is embedded into customer interactions.
  • Lead a team of technical subject matter experts who ensure performance of systems and vendor technology.
  • Develop and lead IT strategic and operational plans and identify information technology, applications, and systems to support business objectives.
  • Direct the design, deployment, and maintenance of current and future systems, programs, and software to meet the needs of CyncHealth and its stakeholders.
  • With oversight from the Board of Directors, partner with executive leadership on organizational strategic planning. Understand deliverables specific to and intersecting with TechOps. Cascade deliverables to TechOps team members. Demonstrate accountability for all deliverables.
  • Represent the organization locally, regionally, and nationally, supporting the organization's reputation as an innovative leader in the industry.
  • Partner with key internal stakeholders to create and implement IT policies, protocols, and standards.
  • Stay informed of emerging technologies as it relates to health information technology.
  • Maintain a close working relationship with the key state government officials and other legislative stakeholders as requested.
  • Identify and pursue business opportunities in alignment with the CyncHealth mission and vision.
  • Maintain active professional contacts through local, state and national associations to effectively network, as required; build professional affiliations to enhance professional growth and remain current with the latest trends in association, hospital, payer, and health care management.
  • Provide direction and directives to direct reports. Provide regular and ongoing feedback, including conducting performance conversations with direct reports.?
  • Maintain regulatory knowledge as applicable to the work of CyncHealth. In particular, understand obligations under HIPAA, data breach notifications, Federal Acquisition Regulations, OMB's Uniform Guidance, and other relevant laws and regulations.
  • Ensure the company's compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and standards.
  • Protect assets and the integrity, security and privacy of information entrusted to or maintained by the organization.
  • Model CyncHealth's values and Code of Conduct. Manage resources and business objectives in compliance with charter, policies, and standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, business administration, or a related field required. Master's degree strongly preferred.
  • A minimum of ten years of progressive IT experience, with at least three years of senior IT leadership experience required.
  • Significant experience with cloud computing, data analysis, and cybersecurity.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically while providing tactical support.
  • Experience planning and leading strategic initiatives.
  • Experience with budget management and project coordination preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Ability to work from La Vista, NE office with reliable and predictable attendance

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to work on a computer for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time.
  • Extended working hours and overnight travel may be necessary.
  • Light work requiring exertion up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
  • Ability to work from La Vista, NE office with reliable and predictable attendance.
