Full Job Description
GTSC seeks a Chief Growth Officer (CGO). This is an Executive Leadership position that reports to Chief Operating Officer (COO).

Location: Chantilly, VA (hybrid) with travel to customer, partner, and portfolio-company sites

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Chief Growth Officer owns the growth engine for the GTSC family of companies (GST, The Bowen Group, AEITS, and DataWiz). As a member of the executive leadership team, the CGO is accountable for the strategy and execution that carries the platform from approximately $80M to $100M+ in revenue and beyond - through both organic growth (business development, capture, on-contract growth, and recompetes) and inorganic growth (sourcing, diligence support, and integration of acquired businesses).

This is a build-and-scale role, not a maintenance role. The CGO is expected to establish repeatable, disciplined growth systems and processes, own the qualified pipeline end to end, protect and expand strategic contract vehicles, and translate the company's M&A-plus-organic strategy into measurable revenue outcomes.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • 15+ years in federal (GovCon) professional services, with progressive leadership in business development, capture, and growth.
  • Demonstrated track record of scaling a federal services business through a comparable revenue band (e.g., toward $100M+), owning or heavily influencing a growth P&L.
  • Deep command of the federal acquisition lifecycle, contract vehicles, set-aside/small-business programs, and teaming.
  • Established relationships across federal customers and the GovCon industry base.
  • Experience supporting M&A - target sourcing, diligence, and post-close integration - is strongly preferred given the platform strategy.
  • Executive presence and the ability to operate credibly at the CEO, board, and customer-executive level.
  • Track record of building repeatable growth systems and disciplined pipeline governance, not just individual wins.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Growth Strategy & Pipeline
  • Own the multi-year growth strategy across the family of companies and translate it into an actionable, qualified pipeline aligned to the $100M+ target.
  • Establish and enforce pipeline discipline: qualification standards, bid/no-bid governance, gate reviews, and forecast accuracy.
  • Prioritize the highest-leverage opportunities and shift resources away from low-probability pursuits.
  • Business Development & Capture
  • Lead BD, capture, and proposal operations across the platform; build and mentor a high-performing growth team.
  • Drive capture strategy on priority pursuits - teaming, competitive positioning, price-to-win, and solutioning - in partnership with delivery and technical leadership.
  • Own executive-level relationships with federal customers, industry partners, and teaming counterparts.

Organic Growth & Contract Protection
  • Protect and expand strategic vehicles and incumbent work, including sole-source BPAs and task-order-based programs (e.g., the DataWiz EPA/OCSPP BPA), driving on-contract growth and successful recompetes.
  • Develop contract-vehicle strategy (GWACs, BPAs, IDIQs, set-aside and small-business programs) to widen access to addressable demand.

Inorganic Growth (M&A)
  • Support the M&A strategy: source and qualify acquisition targets, assess pipeline and growth quality during diligence, and integrate acquired business-development engines into the platform.
  • Partner with the CEO and COO on corporate-development priorities and the path to a platform exit.

Marketing, Brand & Systems
  • Own positioning, brand, and marketing across the family of companies to support a unified go-to-market.
Build the systems, processes, and metrics that make growth repeatable and measurable (CRM discipline, pipeline reporting, win/loss analysis).
  • Report growth performance to executive leadership and ownership against clear KPIs.

Success Metrics (First 12-18 Months)
  • Qualified pipeline value and pipeline coverage ratio against the revenue plan.
  • Bookings, win rate, and book-to-bill across organic pursuits.
  • Organic revenue growth toward the $100M+ target and protection of incumbent revenue at recompete.
  • Contribution to at least one successful acquisition-integration or a materially expanded contract vehicle.

Attributes We Value
  • Strategic operator who stays at altitude but can drive execution accountability.
  • Intellectually honest - verifies signals, surfaces risk early, and does not confuse activity with progress.
  • Comfortable in a fast-moving, acquisitive environment with evolving systems and process.

Benefits
  • 15 days of PTO.
  • 11 paid federal holidays.
  • Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, and Disability insurances.
  • HSA and FSA.
  • Travel assistance program.
  • Pet insurance.
  • and many others.
