Job Description

Summary of Position:

We are currently seeking an operational Chief Financial Officer to lead and strengthen our finance function and serve as a key partner to management as the company continues to scale a multi-site production business backed by institutional capital.

This role is focused on financial leadership, integration, and execution.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring accurate, timely and well-controlled financial operations, while supporting and developing an existing accounting and FP&A team.
  • Providing clear interpretation of financial performance and translating results into actionable insight for management.
  • Owning the company's cash, tax, and overall financial posture, with appropriate discipline forward planning.
  • Serving as a credible financial representative to the Board, communicating performance, risks, and outlook with clarity.
  • Assuring legal and regulatory documents are filed and monitoring compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Manage and oversee insurance program.


A key dimension of the role is cross-functional integration. The CFO will work closely with Sales, Operations, and other functions to ensure that:

  • Commercial initiatives and financial implications are aligned.
  • Assumptions are appropriately supported and refined.
  • Board-level materials present a coherent and credible connection between operational activity and financial outcomes.


Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

Education and Experience:

  • Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance
  • Certified Public Accountant designation preferred.
  • Eight to ten years of experience in financial management required.

Supervisory:

  • This position is directly responsible for supervising all finance, accounting, and accounts payable employees.
