About This Opportunity
Owen-Ames-Kimball Co. is hiring a Chief Financial Officer in our Grand Rapids, MI office to help guide our continued growth. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and working closely with the executive team and Board of Directors, the CFO drives the company's financial strategy and operations, leading
the finance and accounting team across Michigan, Florida, and Colorado.
What you'll do
- Partner with executive leadership on financial strategy, resource allocation, and growth, including capital investments, acquisitions, and joint venture structures
- Lead the finance and accounting team across regions, building consistent practices and developing the next generation of financial leaders
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting in accordance with GAAP, delivered to leadership and the Board on time
- Lead financial planning and analysis, including annual budgeting, ongoing forecasting, and project-level analysis of cost structures, pricing, and profitability, translating results into information project managers, operations leaders, and executives can act on
- Manage treasury and cash flow, tax strategy, payroll, employee benefits, retirement plan administration, and the shareholder plan
- Administer the annual share valuation process and plan for the company's repurchase obligation and shareholder liquidity
- Own banking and lender relationships, including credit facilities, bonding capacity, and covenant compliance
- Own risk management, insurance and bonding programs, internal controls, financial, data security, and operational risk
What we're looking for
- Strong people leadership, with the ability to build and coach teams as systems, processes, and roles evolve
- A record of progressive advancement through finance roles into senior leadership, with depth in capital allocation, capital structure, and forecasting, and a track record of using financial analysis to shape strategy
- Experience managing lender and capital-provider relationships, including covenant compliance and reporting
- Business acumen and command of cash flow, working capital, and accounting and reporting standards
- The ability to present financial information clearly and to explain it to employee-owners and non-financial audiences
- A forward-thinking mindset that questions legacy process, embraces technology, and continually advances the accounting and finance function
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field; MBA, CFA, or CPA preferred
- Construction experience is beneficial but not an absolute requirement
