The selected candidate will perform as a lead and expert on the most complex engineering assignments in planning and overseeing installation, operation, and maintenance of infrastructure systems. The Chief Facility Engineer is responsible for the overall management and operation of the mechanical, life safety, electrical, plumbing, CAD, drawing development and review.
Must possess an active Top Secret security clearance. Essential Responsibilities:• Perform overall capacity management. Maintain building heating, cooling and power calculations
• Responsible for design, analysis, and recommendations for system upgrades.
• Ensure building modifications comply with code requirements
• Generate design specifications for new equipment installations.
• Lead engineering team and act as a mentor to team members.
• May train other engineers on technical issues related to the research, design, development, testing and analysis of engineering assignments.
• Coordinate and work closely with program management and government customer to define system specifications and requirements
• Develop, maintain and produce technical documentation and system/subsystem specifications.
• Direct interface and liaison with internal and external customers at all levels from quotation to final design, installation and test activities.
• Verify and comply with engineering documentation standards and test procedures.
• Prepare, deliver and submit technical papers and perform engineering studies.
• Support development of technical proposals and provide comments on the content and level of effort of the proposed scope of work.
Preferred Qualifications• Degree in infrastructure related engineering
• 7 years direct experience in managing and operating large facility operations
• Professional Engineer (PE) in one of the 50 U.S. states, Territories or Possessions
• Experience in the application of government regulations, codes and standards
• Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), Building Automation Systems (BAS), Fire alarm and protection systems, Uninterruptible Power Systems (UPS)
Salary Range: $125,000 - $150,000
