JOB SUMMARYThe Chief Executive Officer (CEO) serves as the senior executive leader of the Division and is responsible for overall operational, financial, strategic, and cultural performance. The CEO is responsible for executing organizational strategy, driving growth, ensuring operational excellence, and delivering exceptional patient experience and physician satisfaction across all division locations and service lines.
The CEO partners closely with OSM executive leadership, physicians, division leadership teams, and key stakeholders to ensure alignment with enterprise goals while maintaining accountability for divisional performance. The CEO serves as the primary leader for the Division, incorporating OSM's vision, mission, values, and strategic priorities into the division's measurable results. This position serves as an exemplary role model for both staff and patients through professionalism, integrity, accountability, compassion, respect, excellence, and service.
Strategic Leadership- Provides leadership and strategic direction for the Division, ensuring alignment with OSM's vision, mission, and enterprise objectives.
- Develops and executes divisional strategic plans, annual goals, and growth initiatives in partnership with OSM leadership.
- Identifies market opportunities, physician recruitment opportunities, service line expansion initiatives, and business development strategies.
- Leads organizational transformation efforts and drives innovation to improve patient experience, quality outcomes, and financial performance.
- Participates in enterprise strategic planning activities and supports implementation of OSM initiatives.
- Ensures divisional priorities align with established enterprise goals and operating standards.
Divisional Leadership & Operations- Provides executive oversight for all clinical, operational, administrative, and business functions within the Division.
- Leads and develops the divisional leadership team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Ensures efficient, effective, and consistent operations across all practice locations.
- Partners with physician leaders to optimize clinical performance, quality outcomes, patient access, and patient satisfaction.
- Oversees implementation of policies, procedures, and operational standards established by OSM.
- Promotes the adoption of technology, innovation, and best practices to improve operational effectiveness.
- Ensures divisional leaders are achieving operational benchmarks and key performance objectives.
Financial Performance & Growth- Maintains full accountability for divisional financial performance, including revenue growth, profitability, EBITDA performance, and operational efficiency.
- Partners with OSM finance leadership to develop annual operating and capital budgets.
- Monitors divisional financial performance and implements corrective actions as necessary.
- Identifies opportunities to improve revenue, productivity, patient access, operational efficiency, and profitability.
- Evaluates business cases for investments, growth opportunities, partnerships, and service expansions.
- Ensures responsible stewardship of divisional resources and assets.
Physician & Stakeholder Partnerships- Builds strong and collaborative relationships with physicians, clinician leaders, and practice administrators.
- Serves as the primary executive liaison between the Division and OSM leadership.
- Promotes physician engagement, alignment, and participation in divisional initiatives.
- Facilitates collaboration among physicians, operational leaders, and enterprise stakeholders.
- Supports physician recruitment, retention, development, and succession planning initiatives.
Governance, Compliance & Risk Management- Ensures compliance with all federal, state, local, regulatory, accreditation, and payer requirements.
- Maintains adherence to OSM policies, procedures, governance standards, and reporting requirements.
- Leads divisional risk management activities and develops mitigation strategies for identified risks.
- Ensures implementation and maintenance of business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
- Promotes a culture of safety, compliance, quality, and ethical business practices.
Performance Management & Reporting- Establishes and monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) related to financial performance, operations, patient experience, quality, growth, and employee engagement.
- Provides regular performance updates and business reviews to OSM executive leadership.
- Uses data and analytics to drive decision-making and organizational improvements.
- Holds leaders accountable for achieving established divisional objectives.
- Implements performance improvement initiatives where necessary to achieve target results.
Organizational Culture & Talent Development- Builds and sustains a high-performance culture that reflects OSM's values and leadership principles.
- Partners with Human Resources and OSM leadership on talent management, workforce planning, succession planning, and leadership development.
- Fosters employee engagement, collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.
- Champions change management initiatives and organizational development efforts.
External Relations & Community Engagement- Represents the Division within the healthcare community and local markets.
- Builds strategic relationships with hospitals, physician groups, payers, community organizations, and industry partners.
- Enhances the Division's visibility, reputation, and market presence.
- Participates in industry associations, community events, and healthcare forums on behalf of the Division.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Finance, or related field required.
- Master's degree (MBA, MHA, MPH, or related discipline) strongly preferred.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive healthcare leadership experience.
- Minimum of five (5) years of executive leadership experience within a physician practice, ambulatory care organization, management services organization (MSO), or healthcare services environment.
- Demonstrated experience leading multi-site healthcare operations and complex physician organizations.
- Proven track record of driving growth, operational excellence, physician engagement, and financial performance.
