Also participates in staffing,decision-making, policy determination, and clinical planning and clinicaloperations of the hospital. She/he has the responsibility for overseeing themanagement of nursing practices in accordance with regulatory requirements. TheCNO must have knowledge of current theoretical approaches to delivering qualitynursing care; strategies for examining and applying relevant concepts; currentleadership, management, and developmental performance improvement concepts; andthe ability to participate in developing and implementing positive strategiesto address opportunities for improving nursing care.

Job Requirements- Graduateof an accredited school of nursing.
- CurrentIndiana Registered Nurse Licensure.
- CurrentBLS certification.
- CurrentACLS certification.
- Demonstratedleadership and management ability with a minimum of one to two years' experience in nursing leadership in high acuity setting.
- Ableto communicate positively and effectively in English, both verbally and inwriting.
