Entarian is seeking an experienced Chief Architect to lead the technical architecture, systems integration, and engineering strategy supporting deployment and operation of Vertasyn as the Centralized Operating Provider (COP) for a critical satellite communications program. The Chief Architect serves as the senior technical authority responsible for defining and maintaining the overall system architecture across satellite communications, cloud infrastructure, data platforms, cybersecurity, and mission systems. This role provides technical leadership to engineering teams while ensuring all system components operate as an integrated, secure, scalable, and resilient enterprise solution.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience leading large-scale technical environments involving space systems, satellite communications, ground infrastructure, mission operations, distributed communications networks, cloud platforms, or enterprise information technology capabilities.

Key Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

  • Serve as the technical authority for overall system architecture, ensuring alignment between customer requirements, mission objectives, and engineering implementation.
  • Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary engineering team supporting software development, systems engineering, data engineering, AI/ML, user experience, cloud infrastructure, and systems integration activities.
  • Define, maintain, and evolve the enterprise architecture supporting Vertasyn deployment across hybrid AWS and on-premises government environments.
  • Oversee deployment, integration, and sustainment of distributed applications, cloud services, data platforms, and supporting infrastructure.
  • Direct integration of Vertasyn with satellite-to-satellite, satellite-to-ground, ground-to-ground, and supporting mission systems while ensuring interoperability across operational environments.
  • Establish technical standards, architecture principles, interface specifications, and engineering best practices supporting long-term system evolution.
  • Lead architecture reviews, technical design reviews, trade studies, and engineering decision processes throughout the system lifecycle.
  • Ensure system scalability, resiliency, availability, security, and performance objectives are achieved across distributed mission environments.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity, DevSecOps, software engineering, systems engineering, and infrastructure teams to implement secure and maintainable technical solutions.
  • Identify technical risks, architectural gaps, and integration challenges while developing mitigation strategies and modernization roadmaps.
  • Support customer technical interchange meetings, engineering working groups, design reviews, and executive briefings.
  • Coordinate with government stakeholders, program leadership, subcontractors, and mission partners to resolve technical issues and support successful program execution.
  • Provide architectural oversight for API design, data integration, digital engineering initiatives, and enterprise data management strategies.
