Full Job Description
As a Chief Advisor, Financing and Credit Risk Performance Management in the Credit Risk Management team within the Risk Management sector at National Bank, you'll be a specialist in enabling AI- and analytics-driven efficiencies, optimizing end-to-end commercial credit processes, strengthening controls, and enhancing credit policy. With your structured problem-solving skills, your experience delivering complex, cross-functional change and your knowledge of the commercial credit lifecycle, governance forums, and decisioning workflows, you'll have a positive impact on Credit Risk operational performance, sound and timely credit decision-making, and successful integration of an acquired commercial portfolio. Your role: • Deliver priority AI and analytics use cases that improve Credit Risk operational performance, efficiency, and scalability. • Drive strategic commercial credit risk initiatives spanning process, embedded controls, policy, and performance management. • Identify and implement opportunities to improve end-to-end credit lifecycle processes and decisioning workflows. • Translate evolving requirements into clear problem statements, practical solutions, and executable delivery plans. • Represent Credit Risk on cross-functional initiatives and governance forums; prepare executive-ready analysis and recommendations. • Support integration of an acquired commercial portfolio, including credit model rescore activities (analysis, planning, coordination). • Represent Credit Risk on cross-functional initiatives and governance forums • Enhance commercial credit policies to support efficient, sound decision-making • Support integration of an acquired commercial portfolio, including credit model rescore activities Your team: As part of the Risk Management sector, you'll join a specialized Credit Risk Management team and report to the Senior Director, Financing and Credit Risk Performance Management. This position sits at the intersection of Risk, Business, Operations, Technology, Data and Analytics and drives the delivery of strategic commercial credit initiatives. We're recruiting to expand our capacity to deliver high-priority transformation and integration work, including AI-enabled improvements and acquired portfolio activities. Our team stands out for its expertise in complex problem solving, its pragmatic approach to process and control design, and its deep understanding of commercial credit requirements. Prerequisites: • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Commerce or a related field and 10-15 years of experience in credit risk management, commercial lending, analytics, credit policy or related roles. • Experience delivering complex initiatives in project or change environments, from analysis through implementation. • Strong knowledge of end-to-end commercial credit lifecycle processes, decisioning workflows, and governance/controls. • Demonstrated capability in process transformation, embedded controls, and operationalizing change with KPI/KRI measurement. • Strong executive communication skills and ability to influence without authority across Risk, Business, Operations, Technology, Data and Analytics.
