  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams for seamless project execution.
  • Participate in P&ID reviews and HAZOPs to ensure safety and design integrity.

As a Chemical Engineer II at Honeywell LNG, you will play a crucial role in the LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) Process Technology team. This position will be reporting to our Senior Chemical Engineering Manager based in Allentown, Pennsylvania on a hybrid schedule.

In this role, you will impact the company's growth and competitiveness by driving technical excellence and innovation in LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) Process Technology, ultimately enhancing the quality of Honeywell's offerings. (https://ess.honeywell.com/us/en/solutions/lng/liquefaction)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Apply engineering expertise to design and implement world-class natural gas liquefaction processes and equipment.


  • Perform advanced process cycle simulations for natural gas liquefaction and related systems.


  • Complete detailed thermal design of proprietary heat transfer equipment (coil wound heat exchanger) manufactured by Honeywell LNG.


  • Conduct relief and depressuring scenario analyses for proprietary equipment using established tools and methodologies.


  • Support plant operations through startup, performance testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.


  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams-including commercial, project management, mechanical design, manufacturing, machinery, R&D and start-up-to ensure seamless project execution, and drive product development and improvement.


  • Participate in P&ID reviews and HAZOPs at contractor offices to ensure safety and design integrity.


  • Domestic and international travel to clients' offices, contractors, and plant sites expected about 10-15 percent of the time.


Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from an accredited institution.


  • 2+ years of experience in chemical engineering.


  • 1+ years of experience with process simulation software.


  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
