JOB DESCRIPTION

The Access & Affordability team is responsible for the development, implementation and execution of strategies to increase affordable homeownership among all customers and communities while managing regulatory and reputational risk. The Strategy and Analytics team within Access & Affordability is responsible for providing strategic business recommendations supported by fact-based analytics to 1) amplify and accelerate progress against Production targets; 2) fulfill regulatory requirements; and 3) increase access to affordable homeownership.

As the Vice President, Strategy Lead in Chase Home Lending Access & Affordability team you will be responsible for providing business thought leadership on how to effectively and proactively mitigate regulatory risk, as well as sustainably increase access to affordable homeownership.  You will provide recommendations on how to optimize new and existing products, programs and initiatives to reach our business goals in the most effective, yet cost-efficient way.  This role requires significant partnership across business and functional groups, including (but not limited to) the Office of Fair Lending, Finance, Product, Marketing and Sales.  To be successful in this position, you will need to be a problem solver, a data-based storyteller, next steps oriented, and able to prioritize multiple workstreams simultaneously.  Overall, this role will support Home Lending and Production leadership in making critical business decisions. 

Job responsibilities

  • Establish a structured problem-solving framework for each project, including a problem statement and root cause hypotheses, to help solution identified gaps in the business

  • Create compelling data-based strategic recommendations, while successfully engaging key stakeholders throughout the process

  • Build clear and concise narratives that effectively communicate strategic recommendations, leveraging strong written, visual and verbal presentation skills

  • Drive consensus on key business decisions across matrixed business and functional partner working groups

  • Develop the business plan(s) needed to execute the recommended strategies, and lead cross functional teams to deliver operational implementations

  • Partner with the relevant Analytics Lead to develop the success metrics that will measure the effectiveness of strategic recommendations post-implementation

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of existing programs and tactics to recommend changes to optimize, when necessary

Required qualifications, skills and capabilities

  • 5 years in strategy and consulting required

  • Strong ability to structure and scope complex problems and apply a range of resources to develop solutions

  • Excellent end-to-end generalist problem solving skills and ability to prioritize issues and analyses

  • Outstanding ability to communicate effectively and confidently and to work well in cross-functional teams

  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, including the ability to interact with colleagues at all levels

  • Sensitivity to and an understanding of the barriers to homeownership customers face required

  • Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills required

  • Up to 10% of travel may be required
