JOB DESCRIPTION

If you are a strategic leader who thrives at the intersection of business operations, people leadership, and organizational execution — this is the role for you. At JPMorgan Chase, we are committed to building a best-in-class Home Lending organization, and the Chief Administrative Office (CAO) function is at the heart of making that happen.

As the Business Manager (Chief of Staff) within the Chief Administrative Office in Home Lending, you will establish the business management function for the Home Lending Chief Administrative Office and partner with the CAO to promote operational excellence, lead key initiatives and shape our team’s engagement, culture and narrative.  You will connect strategy to execution, align cross-functional priorities, maintain cross departmental relationships to ensure the business runs efficiently, strategically, and ensure our team operates with clarity, consistency and accountability. Your work will directly influence the direction, performance, and culture of Home Lending at scale.

The Business Manager needs to have robust business and functional acumen. You must understand how the business works, the strategy, the vision and how all the functions across the organization come together to achieve those goals.

  • Translate organization strategy into actionable priorities, programs and operational plans. Thrive in ambiguity by translating vision into actions and proactively position the team for success
  • Serve as the CAO’s right hand – trusted advisor and thought leader with data driven recommendations to make decisions, drive outcomes, shape messaging and represent priorities at all levels. Communicate with precision and impact, commanding credibility with senior leaders and all team members
  • Direct cross-functional initiatives that shape how the business operates, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, streamline processes, reduce risk, and enhance performance

  • Manage and monitor overall business health, including capacity planning, headcount, budget, domestic and international resource allocation across the CAO organization
  • Foster an environment where risk and control issues are escalated, trends are identified, and policies and procedures are maintained and updated regularly
  • Set a tone of excellence, urgency, integrity and optimization across teams – embody curiosity, resilience and a commitment to continuous improvement
  • Mobilize resources across organizational boundaries to solve issues productively and pursue cross-functional opportunities that improve the overall business, employee and customer experience
  • Partner across Home Lending to drive actions and plans to build and sustain a high performance culture across all lines of business
