Responsibilities:

We are hiring a ChargeRN for our 48 bed, step down unit. The Charge RN will

under the direction of the Nursing Director, works with the Department RN Manager and RN Assistant Manager as a part of the management/leadership team to provide clinical and operational shift supervision of care processes which includes patient flow, exceptional care experiences, quality processes, patient safety, and direction of unit staff in designated service area(s). May provide direct patient care.

Our unit treats a wide variety of patients including those with Stroke, CHF, GI, Renal, Neurologic conditions, patients in respiratory distress, Neuro, and post bariatric surgery patients. We work with interdisciplinary teams such as social workers, PT/OT, Case Managers, and outpatient services. The biggest focus on our unit is a warm welcoming culture that understands the importance of work life balance. We are a family oriented unit that believes in supporting one another, with lots of opportunity for growth as you build your critical thinking skills in our fast paced environment.

Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum One year of nursing experience required

Specialty Certifications: Specialty Certifications in area of practice preferred

* Registered Nurse; Licensure: State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License required.

Academic Preparation:
*Degree from accredited academic nursing program (If a program is under conditional status, approval may be granted by system CNO)

*Additional Requirements based upon area of service
*CDS Inpatient
*Progressive and Critical Care Units: ACLS
*Emergency Departments: ACLS, PALS
*Pediatrics / PICU: PALS
*Newborn Nursery / Mother-Baby Care / NICU: NRP
*Family Birthing Center: NRP and Fetal Monitoring; permanent charge requires ACLS in addition to others
*Pre-op / Operating Room / PACU: ACLS, PALS
*Oncology Chemotherapy certification
