Full Job Description
Job Description:

The Finance Transformation Change Lead is a senior individual contributor responsible for driving employee readiness and adoption across major Finance transformations, beginning with Shield AI's Oracle ERP implementation. The role leads internal communications, stakeholder engagement, change champion activities, and training coordination so employees and leaders are prepared to adopt new Finance systems, processes, and operating models.

For the next 12 months, the role will focus primarily on the Oracle ERP implementation. Over time, it will support other Finance-related transformation initiatives, including acquisition integration, Finance systems modernization, process harmonization, and operating-model changes.

What you'll do:
  • Partner with the Executive Change Sponsor and implementation vendor's Change Management Lead to execute Shield AI's internal change, communications, readiness, and adoption activities.
  • Translate the broader change plan into clear, timely communications across Shield AI channels, including leadership updates, FAQs, employee communications, and program materials.
  • Develop and lead a cross-functional Change Champion Network, equipping champions to reinforce key messages, support adoption, and surface feedback from their teams.
  • Build leadership alignment by preparing talking points, facilitating briefings and employee forums, and ensuring leaders understand their role in supporting change.
  • Identify and help address areas of resistance, confusion, and people-related risk in partnership with program stakeholders.
  • Coordinate training readiness activities, including train-the-trainer sessions, subject-matter-expert participation, end-user training schedules, and delivery through internal learning channels.
  • Maintain the Oracle ERP information hub and ensure program communications, training resources, timelines, and key documents are current and accessible.
  • Coordinate onsite engagement, leadership sessions, champion activities, and readiness events at key program milestones.
  • Track feedback and readiness signals, using insights to improve communications, engagement, and adoption support.
  • Support additional Finance-related transformation initiatives after the Oracle ERP implementation, including acquisition integration and Finance systems or process changes.
  • Help establish repeatable change-management practices, tools, and templates within the Finance Transformation Office and PMO.

Required qualifications:
  • 7+ years of experience in organizational change management, communications, program management, HR, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting complex technology, ERP, Finance transformation, or enterprise process-change initiatives.
  • Strong written communication, facilitation, stakeholder-management, and executive-facing presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence across functions and levels while operating as a senior individual contributor.
  • Experience developing communications, leading employee engagement, and coordinating role-based training or train-the-trainer activities.
  • Ability to simplify complex system and process changes into practical, audience-specific information.
  • Strong organization, judgment, and follow-through in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
  • Willingness to travel periodically for implementation milestones, leadership engagement, training, and onsite readiness activities.
  • We are ONLY seeking candidates local to the Bay Area (and willing to commute to San Mateo, CA). At this time, we will not be relocating candidates.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience with Oracle ERP or another large-scale enterprise system implementation.
  • Experience supporting M&A integration, including systems consolidation, process harmonization, or Day 1/Day 100 readiness.
  • Prosci, ACMP, PMP, or comparable change-management or project-management certification.
