We are seeking a Change Control Lead to oversee and govern software and configuration changes across video streaming and set-top box platforms, ensuring high-quality releases with minimal customer impact. This role requires strong expertise in video technologies, streaming ecosystems, networking, Linux environments, and release management, along with the ability to assess risk, drive change review decisions, and collaborate across multiple engineering and operations teams

Your Role
- As a Change Control Lead, you will be responsible for governing, evaluating, and driving all software and configuration and changes impacting video/set-top box platforms, ensuring stability, quality, and minimal customer impact.
- You will lead the change review and approval process by assessing risk, impact, and readiness of proposed changes across video systems, middleware, firmware, and network components.
- You will leverage strong analytical thinking to evaluate field issues, proposed fixes, and enhancements, ensuring that only well-vetted and high-quality changes are promoted to production.
- You will collaborate closely with triage, development, QA, release management, and operations teams to ensure alignment on priorities, root cause insights, and deployment strategies.
- You will drive decision-making during change control boards (CCB), balancing urgency, risk, and business impact while providing clear recommendations.
- You will analyze Business Intelligence, telemetry, and field metrics (e.g., crash rates, playback failures, network performance) to proactively identify risks associated with changes and prevent regressions.
- You will ensure proper change documentation, traceability, rollback strategies, and compliance with release governance processes.
- You will lead incident reviews related to change failures and drive continuous improvement in change management practices.
- You will operate in a fast-paced environment, coordinating across multiple teams and stakeholders, ensuring timely and high-quality releases.
- You will mentor and guide team members, leveraging team strengths and improving capabilities through training and structured processes.
- You will stay current with evolving tools, technologies, and best practices in video platforms, cloud services, monitoring systems, and DevOps methodologies
Your Skills & Experience
- Strong knowledge of video technologies, set-top box (STB) platforms, streaming ecosystems, and video delivery systems.
- Good understanding of networking, Wi-Fi, Linux environments, software architecture, system integration, and C/C++ based systems.
- Experience with change control, release management, production support, SDLC, Agile methodologies, and version control processes.
- Hands-on experience with tools such as Splunk, Elastic, or Datadog, along with strong risk assessment, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to lead change control boards, make decisions under pressure, manage cross-functional stakeholders, prioritize competing demands, and drive operational excellence.
The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $53,580 - $122,400/year
