The Chair of Family Medicine will be a strategic, collaborative, and inspirational leader responsible for advancing clinical care, education, community outreach, and research.
Key Responsibilities will include: - Provide visionary leadership to faculty, residents, and advanced practice providers across the department.
- Align departmental goals with the mission of MetroHealth
- Foster a culture of excellence and academic achievement.
- Champion initiatives to improve access, reduce disparities, and address social determinants of health
- Lead recruitment, retention, mentorship, and faculty development efforts.
- Guide innovation in primary care quality and delivery
This role will also be instrumental in shaping the department's future in the context of evolving healthcare trends and MetroHealth's ongoing transformation into a national model for community-focused academic medicine.
Qualifications: - Board Certification in Family Medicine (required)
- Academic rank of Assistant Professor or higher
- 3-5 years of progressive leadershipexperience in an academic or large healthcare setting
- Experience with graduate medical education, quality improvement, and community-based clinical research
- A demonstrated commitment to fostering belonging and supporting individuals across a broad range of experiences and perspectives
Academic appointment will be through Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, with rank and salary commensurate with experience and accomplishments.
