Job Description
Responsibilities:- Perform structural steel welding inspections in accordance with AWS D1.1 and project specifications
- Verify compliance with approved welding procedures and inspector documentation
- Monitor fabrication shop activities and ensure alignment with contract documents and industry standards
- Prepare clear, accurate daily inspection reports and maintain organized documentation
- Communicate findings and recommendations to the ATANE project team and clients
- Collaborate with project managers and quality assurance staff to meet deliverables and schedules
Job Requirements
Qualifications:Education & Certifications:- High School Diploma or GED - Required
- Current AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) - Required
- AMPP (formerly NACE) certification - Preferred
Experience:- Structural steel or bridge fabrication inspection - Preferred
Skills & Requirements:- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Sound judgment and decision-making ability
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and digital reporting platforms
- Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Willingness to travel frequently and work in variable conditions, including fabrication shops and outdoor sites
- Ability to lift 25+ lbs., climb ladders, and work in confined spaces or elevated positions

Compensation:- Hourly Rate: $35-$50/hour, commensurate with experience and certifications
