Job Description

Certified Welding Inspectors (CWI) to support our growing portfolio of infrastructure, bridge, and structural steel fabrication projects. This is a nationwide opportunity for inspectors who are detail-oriented, self-driven, and committed to quality assurance in complex fabrication environments. Candidates must be open to travel and flexible work schedules, including night shifts and weekends as required.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform structural steel welding inspections in accordance with AWS D1.1 and project specifications
  • Verify compliance with approved welding procedures and inspector documentation
  • Monitor fabrication shop activities and ensure alignment with contract documents and industry standards
  • Prepare clear, accurate daily inspection reports and maintain organized documentation
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to the ATANE project team and clients
  • Collaborate with project managers and quality assurance staff to meet deliverables and schedules


Job Requirements

Qualifications:

Education & Certifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED - Required
  • Current AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) - Required
  • AMPP (formerly NACE) certification - Preferred

Experience:
  • Structural steel or bridge fabrication inspection - Preferred


Skills & Requirements:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Sound judgment and decision-making ability
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and digital reporting platforms
  • Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Willingness to travel frequently and work in variable conditions, including fabrication shops and outdoor sites
  • Ability to lift 25+ lbs., climb ladders, and work in confined spaces or elevated positions

Compensation:
