Job Description Summary:
This position provides care that focuses on pregnancy, childbirth, the postpartum period, care of the newborn, and family planning and gynecological needs of the woman. The CNM practices under the supervision of one or more collaborating physicians and he/she refers patients who develop complications requiring physician care to an obstetrician.Responsibilities And Duties:
100% -Uncomplicated prenatal care within the scope of the Nurse Midwife e -Intrapartum Care on patients who meet the criteria for normal delivery no forceps or vacuum us e . -Pitocin augmentation or induction under the direction and approval of the supervising physician or alternate. -Use of internal and external monitors. -AROM Active Rupture of Membrane s without consultation only if patient is in active labor, 3 cm, - 1 station, and at leastMinimum Qualifications:
Master's Degree: Nursing (Required)C-EFM - Certified - Electronic Fetal Monitoring - National Certification Corporation (NCC), CNM - Certified Nurse Midwife - American Midwifery Certification Board©, RN - Registered Nurse - Ohio Board of NursingAdditional Job Description:
Licensed by the State of Ohio as a registered nurse - Certified by the American College of Nurse Midwifes - Graduate of a college for nurse midwives that is in good standing as determined by the Board at the time of graduation. - Certificate
