Job Summary:

Join our growing Certified Nurse Midwife team in the North suburbs. Our CNM's provide care including pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum period, immediate care of the newborn following birth, family planning and gynecologic needs. They ensure coordination of care for the patient in collaboration with other Perinatal, Neonatal and Birth Center team members.

Job Description:

Principle Responsibilities

  • CNM group independently provides labor support, water birth and VBAC/TOLAC services

  • Midwifery collaborative support is provided by a supportive inhouse OB and maternal fetal medicine groups

  • We attend approximately 40-50 births per month with three affiliated clinics.

  • "Natural birth experience" highlighting nontraditional care in the hospital.

  • Follows standards for Nurse Midwifery Practice established by the American College of Nurse-Midwives and Minnesota statute.

  • Professional Liability insurance including tail coverage

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree Graduate from Accredited School of Nursing

  • Formal education as Nurse practitioner

  • Licensed Registered Nurse - MN Board of Nursing required upon hire

  • Certified Nurse Midwife - MN Board of Nursing required upon hire

  • Must meet at least ONE of the requirements below:
        ◦ Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
        ◦ Current BLS certification from the American Red Cross
        ◦ Allina in-house BLS training (within 30 days of hire)

  • AMCB American Midwifery Certification Board upon hire required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in nursing or related field

  • 1 year of Certified Nurse Midwife experience

Physical Demands
Medium Work*:
Lifting weight Up to 32 lbs. occasionally (*Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy), Up to 25 lbs. frequently

Pay Range

Pay Range: $130,000 to $145,000 per year

The pay described reflects the starting base pay range, assuming a full-time FTE. Your starting rate will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable).
