About the Job:
The Central Accounting Manager focuses on consolidating disparate accounting functions into a single, efficient unit. This role involves collaborating to design the vision, driving process standardization, implementing technology, and managing the change process across multiple facilities.

This position is fully onsite in Franklin, TN.

Roles and Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Lead the migration of facility accounting processes into a centralized shared services group, evaluating additional processes for inclusion, including M&A integrations.
  • Define, document, and standardize accounting procedures (Procure-to-Pay, Record-to-Report) to increase efficiency and automation.
  • In conjunction with the Assistant Controller and Controller, oversee the daily transactional accounting activities, ensuring the accuracy of AP, AR, fixed assets, and intercompany settlements.
  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes across all facilities.
  • Own SOX compliance within the shared services group, ensuring internal controls are maintained and providing support for internal/external audits.
  • Establish and manage Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with shared services departments to ensure high-quality customer service.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor staff; optimize headcount; develop remote work strategy if field personnel are needed.
  • Work collaboratively with the head of financial systems to coordinate the use of ERP systems and automation tools to enhance productivity.


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related fields from an accredited college or university.
  • Six or more years of progressive accounting experience, with at least two or more years in a shared services or centralized accounting environment.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP; proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and other data analysis functions; experience with ERP systems and process automation tools
  • Strong communication skills; change management skills; process-oriented mindset; ability to build relationships with stakeholders; exceptional analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills; high degree of self-motivation, ownership, organization and attention to detail; ability to work through issues independently and as part of a team; ability to multi-task


LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:

CPA, CMA, and/or MBA preferred.

WORK LOCATION:

This position is on-site at the Company's headquarters in Franklin, TN and is not a remote position.
