Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science, Education, Public Administration, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum three years of supervisory experience.
• Valid Texas driver's license with a good driving record and clean background.
• Preferred: Master's degree in Library Science from an ALA-accredited program.
• Preferred: Experience in operating and administering library services and programs in a municipal government setting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of library services and programs.
• Manage and support staff, ensuring effective team performance.
• Develop and implement library policies and procedures.
• Represent the library at community board and committee meetings.
• Attend City Council meetings as needed to advocate for library initiatives.
