Job Description:

Parsonsislooking for an amazingly talentedCBA 6 MaintenanceSupervisor I for the Faro Mine Remediation Projectto joinour team!In thisroleyou willcontribute to thesafe,andefficient,operationof a mine site remediation project.

Reporting to the Care and Maintenance Superintendent, this positionis responsible forsupervising maintenance personnel, coordinating work activities, supporting safe work execution, and ensuring maintenanceobjectivesareachieved.

Local candidates are preferred; however, candidates available on a fly-in/fly-out rotational basis will also beconsidered.

Thispositionworksa rotational schedule of two (2) weeks on and two (2) weeks off, consisting of 12-hourshifts.

Employeesareprovided withan LOA allowance andare responsible forproviding their own foodandmeals.

This position includes membership in the United Steelworkers Local 925. The hourly wage for this position is $48.45.

WhatYou'll Be Doing

  • Supervise maintenanceand HEO (heavy equipment operators)personnel and coordinate daily work activities to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, andin accordance withoperational priorities.

  • Organize andmonitordailymaintenanceactivitiesandwork performanceto support operationalrequirements,minimizedowntimeandidentifyopportunities for continuous improvement.

  • Communicate daily operational tasks, health and safety and operational needs with bothstaffand managers

  • Assign work based on employee qualifications, competencies, certifications, and operationalrequirements.

  • Utilizeapproved maintenance processes, systems, and CMMS tools, including MaintenanceConnection, to manage work orders, notifications, backlog, and performance reporting.

  • Assess worker competencies,clarify worker expectations, provide technical guidance and feedbackthroughtrainingandinformalcoachingofassigned tasksLeadandfacilitatecrew, planning, safety, and operational meetings.

  • Facilitate Activity Hazard Assessments (AHAs) and supportimplementation of Safe Work Practices (SWPs), lift plans, and other required safety documentation.

  • Identifyhazards, assess risks, and ensureappropriate controlsare implemented tomaintaina safe work environment, escalatingimmediate safety or equipment risks

  • Participate in incident investigations, corrective action development, and incident management processes.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable legislation, regulations, site procedures, company policies, and safety standards.

  • Establish andmaintaineffective working relationships with operations, maintenance, planning, safety personnel,management,and other site stakeholders.

  • Identifyandreportattendanceor performance issues tomanagementand refer employees to either their Shop Steward or management as needed.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Experienceoperatingall on-site equipment (Forklift (any), Skid Steer, Bobcat, Loader, Rock Truck, Backhoe, Excavator, Dozer, Grader.) and auxiliary equipment or

  • Having an Interprovincial Red Seal Journeyman Ticket.

  • Rigging, lifting, hoisting certificate prerequisites arerequired

  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License

  • Computerproficiencyincluding experience with CMMS applications, Microsoft Office,SharePointand related software products.

  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, assign work, and hold employees accountable for safe work practices.

  • Strong hazard recognition, risk assessment, incident management, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic field environment.

  • Commitment to safety leadership and continuous improvement.

  • Ability to lift 25 kg.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring

  • Previousexperience in a Planning or Supervisory role.

  • Supervisory experiencewith aunionizedworkforcewould be considered an asset

  • Experience supervising a multidisciplinary crew

  • Background or education in the Mechanic/Millwright field is preferred.

  • Completion of First Line Leadership training or equivalent supervisory leadership training is considered an asset.

  • LSE training or equivalent leadership and safety excellence training is considered an asset.

This position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team.

This position is a part of the Faro Mines project which is a unionized worksite and therefore governed by the Faro Union Collective Bargaining Agreement. Union membership and dues will apply.
