Category Manager Compensation Base salary: $95,000 - $115,000 Annual Bonus Potential: 3% Reason for Opening Existing Vacancy - Yes Job Summary We are seeking a Category Manager, Consumer Products to join our Product Management team at Glen Dimplex Americas. In this role, you will support the development and execution of category strategies, helping bring innovative consumer products to market across retail and e-commerce channels. Working closely with engineering, design, marketing, supply chain, and sales teams, you will identify product opportunities, support new product launches, evaluate market trends, and help drive profitable category growth. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills, commercial awareness, and a passion for consumer products. Duties & Responsibilities Product Portfolio Management: Evaluate and support the selection of products from global and external partners, identifying opportunities that align with market trends, customer needs, and business objectives. Product Localization & Adaptation: Translate North American market research, consumer insights, and retailer requirements into product enhancement opportunities, working with internal teams and supplier partners to support regional market needs. Business Case Development: Develop business cases and financial models for new and existing products, considering cost structures, pricing, expected volumes, and profitability objectives. Pricing & Commercial Analysis: Support pricing recommendations and margin analysis by evaluating market conditions, competitive benchmarks, product positioning, and profitability targets. Market & Channel Intelligence: Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify category opportunities, consumer trends, and potential product gaps within the portfolio. Supplier & Manufacturing Collaboration: Work closely with global business units, suppliers, and manufacturing partners to coordinate product updates, evaluate product samples, and support successful product launches. Go-To-Market & Retail Alignment: Partner with marketing and sales teams to develop product positioning, promotional strategies, and launch plans across retail and e-commerce channels. Lifecycle & Supply Chain Coordination: Coordinate with supply chain, logistics, and manufacturing partners to support product launches, inventory planning, product transitions, and lifecycle management activities. Category Presentations & Recommendations: Prepare and present category insights, product recommendations, business cases, and performance updates to internal stakeholders while supporting customer-facing initiatives as required. Qualifications & Educational Requirements achelors degree in Business, Marketing, Merchandising, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. 4-6 years of experience in category management, product management, merchandising, sourcing, or a related commercial role within consumer products, retail, home improvement, or a related industry. Experience working with retail customers, distributors, or channel partners. Exposure to retail line reviews or customer presentations is considered an asset. Experience working with sourcing, manufacturing, or supplier partners is preferred. Experience supporting new product launches, product lifecycle management, and category planning activities. Strong analytical and business acumen with experience supporting pricing decisions, product positioning, and profitability analysis. Understanding of market trends, consumer insights, and competitive analysis. Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and communicate recommendations to stakeholders. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with Power BI and category analytics tools is considered an asset.
