Responsibilities

  • Address service and color inquiries from customers and sales force

Job Title

Category Manager - Flooring Accessories

Position Overview:

The Category Manager supports the Sr. Category Manager in managing andoptimizingthe product category’s performance. This role involvesbeing responsible forthe setup of product specifications forGroundworx(Cushion & Underlayment), andCareworx(Cleaner & Floor Protection). The Category Manager works closely with various teams, including marketing, sales, sourcing,samplesand supply chain, as well as suppliers to ensure the execution of successful product launches.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish andmaintainall product specification information, ensuring accuracy of entry into the mainframe databases, whilemaintainingand communicating any corrections or changes to specifications to internal stakeholders and outside suppliers.

  • Work with cross-functional partners (Corporate Sourcing, Samples, Product Development, Brands, Planning and Marketing, and Suppliers) to ensure all requirements are met fortimelyexecution of product launches.

  • Responsible fortimelydistribution & follow through of vendor blueprintsrequiredto accurately set products up in TTR.

  • Maintain thestage gateprocess to ensuretimelyflow of approvals and setup of products.

  • Support SKU rationalization by collecting and reviewing data to track product life cycles andidentifyendoflife recommendations.

  • Responsible for ensuring dropped products are documented for internal & external partner notification of expected drop dates.

  • Participate in trim reviews with Quality Control, Product Development, and Designers for color match approval.

  • Evaluate the product assortment toidentifyimprovement opportunities and necessary adjustments based on market and competitive insights.

  • Handle inquiries & aid in problem solvingin a timely mannerfor service & color issues for customers and sales force as they arise.

  • Coordinate with suppliers and internal planning teams to ensure product availability andtimelydelivery.

  • Provide support and solutions to Customer Service, Quality Control, and other departments as needed.

  • Responsible for working closely with the Samples Merchandising, Brand, and Sample vendors for sample creation and to ensure sample availability forTotal Worxproducts that offer sample vehicles.

  • Process &submitrequisitions for supplier reconciliation via PeopleSoft

  • Contribute to process improvements byidentifyingopportunities to streamline, automate, or enhance existing workflows.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Minimum (2) years of flooring experience

  • Effective communication skills both verbally and written

  • Ability toutilizerelevant technology -proficiencyin M365, TTR, Vista, PeopleSoft, EBX, Tableau, Microsoft BI, Widen, PDMS, Salesforce, Fusion

  • Proven ability to deal professionally and confidently daily while building collaborative relationships with internal and external partners at various levels.

  • Mustpossessstrong organizational skills, take initiative, ownership, and accountability with the ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and honor commitments.

  • Ability to think through problems toidentifyroot cause issues and resolutions.
