Our Team: Cimpress is creating a new business called Cimpress Open whose mandate will be to excel at serving customers via third-party channels. We will partner with companies that have strong customer relationships with end-customers who need mass-customized print products. In its initial stage, Cimpress Open will pursue opportunities with digital design software partners and established ecommerce marketplace platforms. This approach will evolve and expand over time as we establish a presence in these new segments.
We're looking for a Category Manager to own category execution across a growing part of our marketplace portfolio, reporting to the Senior Category Manager. You'll take direct, end-to-end ownership of category management for one or more partners beyond Amazon as we expand outside our initial marketplace, while also driving the NPI pipeline, forecasting rigor, and cross-functional coordination that keep product launches on track.
This is a genuine category ownership role, not a pure coordination or operations position. You'll be accountable for launch outcomes, forecast accuracy, and performance for your slice of the business, working closely with the Senior Category Manager on overall category strategy and Amazon execution.
What You Will Do: - Own category management for partners beyond Amazon, end to end - launch pipeline, category forecast, and performance
- Manage NPI operations discovery: partner with Operations to gather and validate SKU-level details - specs, production feasibility, fulfillment requirements - for every new product launch
- Own and drive adoption of the NPI workflow (currently piloting on Jira), taking it from pilot to steady-state process
- Build and maintain category-level forecasts (volume, revenue, margin) for your scope, extending to weekly-level granularity and actuals-vs-forecast tracking
- Support product lifecycle management execution, including running PLM independently when the Senior Category Manager is unavailable
- Drive cross-functional alignment across Channel, Operations, Product Owners, Production, and Fulfillment for your category scope
- Define and supervise category KPIs for your scope, flagging risks before they show up in retrospective reporting
- Present category performance, forecasts, and risks to the Senior Category Manager and, as scope grows, to broader leadership
Your Qualifications: - 3+ years of category management, ecommerce, or related commercial experience, including some ownership of a product portfolio and/or launch pipeline
- Self-starter comfortable in a fast-moving, evolving setup, with scope expected to grow over time
- Data-driven and structured, with the judgment to flag risks early and manage performance proactively
- Proficient using AI tools to accelerate category work - comfortable with using LLMs to synthesize market and competitive research, draft category reporting, and support forecasting and variance analysis. Nice-to-have: familiar with Amazon's AI-powered seller tools (Brand Analytics / Search Query Performance, Assortment Opportunity Explorer)
- Experience coordinating cross-functionally (Operations, Fulfillment, Finance, Merchandising, Creatives, Advertising, Pricing, Product, Analytics)
- Fluent English required; German, French, Italian, or Spanish is a plus
