Under the direction of the Manager, the Cash Management Product Manager III is responsible for actively managing a line of cash management products and services by establishing and ensuring that short and long term plans are successfully met.

Responsibilities

  • Manages product portfolio. Drafts, implements and is responsible for tracking progress against annual product plan including sales forecasts, marketing and sales aids, and profit drivers. Coordinates the production and dissemination of monthly product updates and tracks sales and management reports. Oversees initiatives to streamline processes and reduce associated product costs.
  • Develops new product offerings and strategies as needed to meet client needs while ensuring a favorable competitive position in the market and competitive situations. Maintains market intelligence to keep abreast of current and pending offerings from banks within the Bank of Hawaii market as well as banks in markets outside of Bank of Hawaii's market.
  • Coordinates vendor management for third party products and outsource vendors. Negotiates contracts, establishes performance standards, and is accountable for ongoing contract administration and expense control.
  • Develops and implements marketing campaigns and sales programs to support the front line merchandising. Manages the sales efforts. Accompanies sales team on sales calls and presentations as appropriate. Provides in-depth product training to a wide group of constituencies.
  • Develops and manages collateral and sales aids. Drafts policies and procedures and oversees the maintenance of up-to-date material from all sources.
  • Provides system support with direct oversight over systems upgrades and conversions or enhancements. Validates the integrity of system changes and communicates with end-users.
  • Performs all other miscellaneous responsibilities and duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) designation and Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) designations preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with major in business, marketing or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Level is dependent on years of experience and size/complexity of prior positions held.
  • Minimum 6 years of product management experience, cash management, commercial banking or equivalent work experience. Requires significant project management/process management experience. Lead/supervisory/management experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with personal computers and Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) or similar software. Knowledge of or ability to use Bank software and systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills. Must have the ability to clearly communicate concepts, business strategies and project plans. Strong analytical skills and organizational skills required. Able to work independently and within teams. Able to handle multiple tasks with sense of urgency to meet deadlines. Must be able to provide own transportation or to operate a vehicle with a valid driver's license, and ability to commute and arrive at intended destination in a timely manner and/or as required. Able to work flexible hours including holidays, weekends and evenings as needed or assigned. Requires occasional inter-island travel and may include periodic out-of-state travel.
