Full Job Description
General Summary:

This position is responsible for the development of new cash management business, the expansion of existing business relationships and the servicing of existing customers. Establishes cash management strategy, focus and objectives to ensure contribution to the growth plan and goals of the bank. Supervises the Cash Management staff in providing service and support to business client companies. Monitors market conditions/trends and new product offerings so the bank will remain competitive. The Cash Management Manager works closely with the Commercial Lending Team in making business development calls on new prospects and also focuses on generating new sales from current and existing customers by offering cash management products and services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Manage and lead the revenue and net contribution of all cash management and merchant processing product sales, including sales goals, revenue generation, incentive programs, profit/loss, and goals/objectives.
  2. Provides ongoing relationship servicing, training, and support to current customers relative to disputes, product enhancements, product recommendations, and general account status.
  3. Business Development - Identifies prospective customers in targeted markets by:
    1. Cold Calling
    2. Soliciting referrals from existing customers
    3. Develops new relationships with potential long-term customers or prospects.
    4. Conducts sales presentations, explains services offered and recommends services which could be of value to the customer.
  4. Relationship Management
    1. Provides Customers with the latest information about new and existing bank products and services available and cross selling these services.
    2. Ensuring that operational needs of customers are attended to expeditiously.
    3. Meets periodically with existing customers to ensure proper servicing of accounts and to expand existing business relationships.
  5. Cross-selling
    1. Identifies opportunities for cross-selling other bank products and services as appropriate.
  6. Internal Relationship Management
    1. Ensures that bank officers are aware of the bank's cash management products/services and sales activity.
    2. Works in conjunction with Commercial Bankers and branch staff to promote the bank's cash management products/services.
    3. Leads Cash Management team proactively through hands-on support and training. Provides direction, organization, and leadership to help Cash Management team members complete daily, weekly, monthly or annual tasks related to sales, servicing or audit requirements.
    4. Collaborate with other departments including e-Banking, Commercial, Retail, and Compliance to ensure the bank is operating efficiently and within regulatory guidelines.
  7. Develops new cash management products and services that consistently deliver high quality and responsive service to customers and prospects.


Other Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Conducts site visits annually for remote deposit capture customers.
  2. Maintain a high level of company and customer confidentiality.
  3. Adherence to and support of all compliance and BSA/AML rules and regulations related to this job function.
  4. Recruit, hire and train Cash Management sales and support staff, as needed.
  5. Performs other duties that may be assigned by Management.


Education and Experience:
  1. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  2. Minimum of 5-7 years of banking experience. With at least 3 years in cash management, treasury management, commercial banking, or a related area.


Preferred Skills:
  1. Demonstrated experience developing and managing commercial cash management products and services.
  2. Knowledge of banking regulations, compliance requirements, and risk management practices related to treasury services.
  3. Experience leading, coaching, and developing a team.
  4. Fully trained in Microsoft programs Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  5. Experience collaborating with commercial lenders, operations, and technology teams to deliver client solutions.
  6. Strong understanding of ACH, wire transfers, remote deposit capture, positive pay, lockbox services, merchant services, sweeps, and other treasury management products.
  7. Strong interpersonal, marketing, business development, and sales skills.
  8. Strong analytical, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  9. Knowledge of banking laws.


Scheduling:

Work schedule will vary depending upon location but will consist of an 8-hour shift between the hours of 7:45 a.m. - 6:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Schedule may require representing the company after hours at related functions, customer calls, or training. Regular attendance is required.
