ResponsibilitiesBe part of the connection:You understand the goals and objectives of Carrier access clients. You educate and motivate them to implement cost-effective combinations of our layer two Ethernet services.

- Perform a needs assessment and status evaluation to identify client improvement areas.
- Create technical and product presentations and network designs to inform clients.
- Work with internal teams to develop unique service offerings for standard and nonstandard solutions.
- Serve as an SME on data services to provide proof of concepts to other teams.
- Field-based sales roles have fluidity between home, client location and office locations. The expectation is that you are primarily out in front of clients.
- Develop strategic responses for RFIs, RFPs and RFQs.
- Research industry knowledge and emerging technology to improve product offerings.
QualificationsWHAT YOU BRING TO SPECTRUM BUSINESSRequired qualifications:- Experience: Five or more years of telecommunication networking or systems integrator experience; Experience selling to tier one and tier two providers.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, a related field or equivalent experience.
- Technical skills: Skilled in data layer two networking communications, IP security strategies, VoIP/ SIP, IP-VPN, DWDM, MPLS, VPLS, metro Ethernet and LAN/WAN integration; Familiar with complex layer two Ethernet networks; Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Skills: Troubleshooting, issue resolution, presentation and English communication skills.
- Abilities: Ability to network across departments and with boundary partners.
- Availability: Travel to and from assigned territories and company facilities. Valid driver's license.
Preferred qualifications: - Five or more years of field experience in telecommunications pre-sales.
- Cisco, Juniper, ALU or MEF-CECP certification.
