Short Description

The Vascular Technologist supports physicians during diagnostic and interventional vascular procedures by operating advanced imaging equipment, maintaining a sterile procedural environment, and monitoring patient status throughout treatment. This role works collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, high-quality patient care while ensuring compliance with radiation safety standards, accurate procedural documentation, and efficient management of equipment and supplies.

Education Requirements

HS required

Associates preferred

Satisfactory completion of a formal Radiologic Technology program in an AMA approved school.

License/Certification Requirements

Required:

Radiologic Technologist (RT) Certification
New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection License
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

IR cert preferred

Special Requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
Must demonstrate competency in the performance of vascular procedures
