Qualifications

• Board-certified and licensed as an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant/Associate.
• Must possess a National Provider Identifier (NPI) before starting and adhere to Medicare billing regulations.
• Current DEA Registration required for controlled substances, including schedules 2-5, and state prescribing authority is a must.
• Must hold valid Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications; Advanced Burn Life Support (ABLS) certification must be acquired within one year of hire.
• Preferred: At least one year of experience in cardiovascular critical care as an APP, or equivalent experience in CVICU as an RN.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to acutely ill and medically complex patients in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Monitor and assess patients' conditions, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as permitted by licensure and institutional privileges.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses and treatment plans to facilitate informed decision-making.
