Qualifications

• Board-certified and licensed as an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant.
• Must have National Provider Identifier (NPI) or obtain one before starting work.
• Current DEA Registration required for prescribing controlled substances.
• Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required; Advanced Burn Life Support (ABLS) certification must be obtained within one year.
• Preferred: One year of experience in a cardiovascular critical care setting as a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant, or relevant CVICU experience as a registered nurse.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care for acutely ill and medically complex patients in the Cardiovascular ICU.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to enhance patient care processes.
• Monitor and assess patients' conditions and report significant changes.
• Implement treatment plans based on patient evaluations and lab results.
• Educate patients and families on health management and post-discharge care.
