Qualifications

• Board-certified and licensed as an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant/Associate.
• National Provider Identifier (NPI) required, with compliance to Medicare billing.
• Current DEA Registration needed for controlled substances, along with state prescribing authority.
• Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) are mandatory; ABLS certification required within one year.
• Preferred: At least one year of experience in cardiovascular critical care as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, or equivalent CVICU experience as a registered nurse.

Responsibilities

• Collaboratively assess and manage acutely ill cardiovascular patients in the Intensive Care Unit.
• Provide independent and comprehensive care to medically complex patients.
• Work within a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Perform advanced clinical procedures as necessary for patient management.
• Monitor patient progress and adapt care plans based on clinical evaluations.
